林緯遜指近期流感個案明顯反彈

感染及傳染病醫學會副會長林緯遜表示,最近兩星期流感個案明顯反彈,陽性比率達百分之5.8,雖然大部分患者病情輕微,但長者、小童及高風險人一旦受感染,可能會有嚴重併發症或死亡.
林緯遜在電台節目指,出現流感爆發或高峰,可能與疫情期間流感病毒活躍程度低,市民沒有免疫力有關.他指,今次爆發有別於以往的走勢,難以估計會持續多長時間.
至於新冠疫情,林緯遜強調,新冠病毒仍然在社區存在,近期變種病毒XBB個案上升,加上撤銷口罩令,可能令疫情反彈,但重症和死亡個案比率低,市民毋須太擔心.
