近月因為新冠病毒肺炎（COVID-19）全球蔓延，香港更發生全球首例寵物犬被感染的個案，雖然經過隔離檢疫後無相關肺炎症狀，可是該寵物送回住處兩天後死亡，原因不明。據漁農自然護理署解釋，懷疑該寵物是因其所患長期疾病致死，但在沒有進一步病理化驗結果下，死因仍然成謎！
