新增20082宗確診第五波疫情過百萬人染疫

本港新增20082宗新冠病毒確診個案,3宗屬輸入個案,其餘都是本地感染,當中7966宗經核酸檢測確診,其餘1萬2116宗是快速檢測陽性個案,本港第五波疫情累計超過100萬人受感染.
再多259名患者不治,當中206人昨日離世,年齡介乎25至106歲,六成一人是長者,八成三人未完成兩劑疫苗接種.
衛生防護中心表示,今波疫情累計5188名患者不治,死亡率為百分之0.5,七成死者年過80歲,完成疫苗接種的死亡率為百分之0.09,未完成接種為百分之1.32,兩者相差超過14倍.
